Editor, writer, and publisher of The North-Easterner Magazine during 1994-2004 + associated works (see below). Occasional publisher of further books and booklets since 2004, almost all self-published – some as e-books.  Briefly ran the ‘North-East History Hub’ website and associated e-newsletter during 2010-11. 

Now runs the ‘British & Irish Genealogy’ website/blog at www.bi-gen.blogspot.com, and its spin-off publications. Also maintains the 'Local & Family History Centre' at www.localandfamilyhc.com and the ‘North-East History Tour’ blog at www.northeasthistorytour.blogspot.com. Wide experience in the worlds of family & local history and avid follower of news in these fields. Also has extensive knowledge of various information streams and many contacts. Genealogist since the 1980s, with experience as both a researcher and a record agent conducting commissioned work.
